About The Drug Channel Workshop

For the first time in several years, the drug channel is experiencing significant disruption. Between declining front-store sales, traffic issues, and the rise of ecommerce, major players and their supplier partners are facing more challenges than ever before. And compounding the disruption is a global pandemic that is causing the major drug retailers to divert investments and realize that certain long-held assumptions about the channel are no longer true. While the focus on self-care is as relevant as ever for the channel, CVS and Walgreens are being forced to adjust their retail playbooks and offer solutions for a population now scarred and transformed by COVID-19.

You’ll walk away from this virtual event with an understanding of:

  • Ecommerce and omnichannel wellness, with a focus on recent developments in fulfillment and online promotions
  • The impact of COVID-19 on the drug channel and the in-store environment
  • The major strategies of CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid
